Mozilla Club was preceded by Juma Baldeh, which was founded in August 2016 with the aim to support, mentor and inspire the enthusiastic girls who wants to read, write and partipate on the web.
The club is planning to start working in collaboration with the University of the Gambia and schools where they wish to start some clubs, with the support of the Mozilla foundation and it's network of awesome staff/volunteers.
The program has had a lot of success so far! As of September 2016, there are 16 active Mozilla learners in the Gambia
The club has 10 to 16 learners, and sessions are supported by 4 to 5 volunteers. They welcome a diverse audience, including adults, young professionals and youth under the age of 18.
